Walton Way Office Parking Changes

As we expand our Walton Way location with the Center for Disability Rights & Resources, there will be a few changes to how we access our offices in order to assure safety for our visitors and staff. The front building has been completely removed in order to create a more safe and accessible service building. During this time, our operations are occurring out of the 810 Tenth Street Block building.

To accommodate all that is happening on-site, we are asking persons to schedule appointments.  We are also not currently easily able to accept consumer or donation/STAR equipment walk-ins but are happily accommodating appointments for drop off and pick up. When you make your appointment the staff will give you information on what entry point they will greet you. Here is general guidance in order to access the building during construction.

  • The pickup and drop off hours for consumers are Monday-Thursday (10 AM – 4 PM).
  • Consumers visiting our office for pick up and drop off are invited to park in the rear of 810 Tenth Street (along the fence) by entering from Barnes Street.  There is a doorbell on the corner of the portable wood building (not the construction trailer) to notify us of your arrival. Depending on your need, you may be alternatively asked to park along 10th Street in the load/unload space.
  • We will be adding directional arrow for guidance to the best entry for visitors to use.
  • When you arrive, if you have a phone, we ask that you call us (706-724-6262) to let us know so we can safely escort you, serve you at your car, or give you options on parking.
  • Currently, all visitors are asked to enter the building via 810 Tenth Street side as our front door will be too close to the construction site.  Both doors are locked to exterior entries, so again, please allow us time to answer the doorbell or come to greet you.
  • This may change as construction continues, so please keep up with us, as we will continue to update consumers.
  • Please be aware as you enter and exit that this is an active construction zone. Construction vehicles will also be entering and exiting the site, so we ask that you be vigilant during your visit.

Please keep up with us for updates on the building. We are excited for what is to come in the future. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your visit, please call us and we will assist you.
