Project 20/20

Getting a Clear View of Your SSI/SSDI Benefits & Project 20/20

In recent years, there has been an increased national emphasis on the employment of persons with disabilities. Access to services is essential to promoting successful employment. The Social Security Administration’s response to this has been to establish community based benefits planning and assistance projects to better enable SSA’s beneficiaries with disabilities to make informed choices about work.

If you receive disability benefits from the Social Security Administration, and are interested in working or learning more about work incentives and your benefits, you can get help from a community organization known as a Work Incentive Planning and Assistance (WIPA) project.

Project 20/20

A clear vision of your Social Security Work Incentives Options will help you achieve your goals. With determination and commitment, your dreams can become reality. The primary practice domains include:

  • Education about Work Incentives
  • Benefits Analysis
  • Data collection and profiling
  • Information and referral

Services can be used by:

  • SSI / SSDI recipients and beneficiaries
  • Parents and/or Family members
  • Friends/Caregivers
  • Service Providers/Educators
  • Professional/Advocates

Working with a WIPA project is often a first step for beneficiaries who want to go to work.

The WIPA Project funded by a grant from the Social Security Administration for South Carolina is Walton Options (SC) WIPA Project 20/20 and is located at 514 West Ave North Augusta, SC 29841. 803-279-9611 V/TTY; 1-866-793-3407. The Lead CWIC for WIPA Project 20/20 is Robbie Breshears.
