MVP Community Awards Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions for participation in the Walton Options’ MVP Community Awards

Terms
The 2017 Walton Options’ Most Valuable Partner (MVP) Community Awards (sometimes hereinafter referred to as the MVP Awards) are scheduled as follows: Public nominations will take place May 30, 2017 until September 11, 2017 (11:59pm Eastern Time). Finalists will be announced October 2, 2017. All winners will be announced October 25, 2017 during the Walton Options’ MVP Community Awards Luncheon. The 2017 MVP Community Awards are hosted by Walton Options for Independent Living (sometimes hereinafter referred to as “host”).

Eligibility
The MVP Community Award Competition is open to all organizations, businesses, government officials, action groups or individuals in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) who meet the criteria set out across the five categories.

Judging
Selection committees, determined by hosts, will choose the finalists for the MVP Awards based on the submitted public nominations, any supporting materials that are available, and current disability community standards. A Finalists Selection Committee made up of members of the Original Selection Committees and the Executive Board will select the winners for each category.

Rights
Each entrant and winners (which term, as used herein, includes finalists) acknowledges and agrees that his/her entry submission and all related materials created in or arising out of such submission, and all right, title and interests in and to them shall be and hereby are, effective upon creation, assigned to and become the property of hosts. Without limiting the foregoing, The MVP Awards will have the irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid-up worldwide, perpetual right (and if necessary, license) to edit, re-edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, promote, distribute create derivative works and otherwise use the entry and related materials in any way it sees fit and in any form or media whether now or hereafter known or developed. Entrant hereby gives The MVP Community Awards and its agents and assignees, full permission and authority to use, publish and display the submission, as well as entrant’s (and any other person included in the submission) name, voice and photograph or other likeness for advertising or other related purposes in any media whether now or hereafter known or developed without additional compensation.

Limitations
A completed online, accessible or hard copy nomination form must be submitted to be considered for an award. A person may nominate an organization, business, government official, action group or individual for multiple nominations so long as they complete a separate application for each award category and provide the requested nomination information.

A person may submit multiple nominations for different organizations, businesses, government officials, action groups or individuals for a single award category (i.e. you may submit two different organizations as nominations for the Outstanding Service Organization award) but a person many not submit the same organization multiple times for a single award category (i.e. submitting the same organization for Outstanding Service Organization award multiple times) in hopes on “stacking the ballot” for their nominee.

A person may submit a nomination for themselves, their organization, their business or their action group as long as the above guidelines are followed.

The host organization is not eligible for the MVP Community Awards.

Unacceptable Material
Entries that contain pornographic material, propagate “hate” messages, make defamatory statements, or which are otherwise extraordinarily offensive are not eligible.

Disqualification
Ineligible entries may be disqualified at any phase of the competition without notification. Incomplete or late entries will be disqualified. Entries must comply with file specifications on entry page and must be in English. Entries must not infringe on, misappropriate or otherwise violate any third-party rights (including but not limited to copyright, trademark, rights of publicity or privacy or any other proprietary right), and must be deemed suitable by hosts. Entrant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless host and each of its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from any losses, damages, or expenses arising from or in connection with infringement, misappropriation or violation of any third party rights. Entries deemed lewd or offensive may be disqualified, in host’s sole discretion. Entries that comply with format specifications may be acknowledged by e-mail, but remain subject to full eligibility determinations at the sole discretion of hosts.

Acknowledgment of Entries
Online nominations will be submitted when the form has been completed and the “submitted” button has been clicked. Hard-copy forms and those submitted via email will be acknowledged when submitted. Finalists will be notified no later than October 2, 2016.

Terms and Conditions of Entry/Usage
The MVP Awards assumes all nominations are original and the entrant/nominator is either a consumer, employee or business owner/representative. The MVP Awards are not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the entrant.

Submission of any entry acknowledges the right of the MVP Community Awards to use it for exhibition, promotion and publication purposes in any medium.

Timely submission of an entry meeting the eligibility requirements as stated herein ensures that an entrant’s work will be reviewed and considered for recognition.

If an entry receives an award, the manner and details of announcing such nomination and award is strictly within the discretion of The MVP Awards. Entrant understands that all awards may not be given or publicized in the same manner.

The personal data we collect from registered MVP Community Awards users will not be disclosed to any third party, including advertisers. Personal information is stored on a restricted database server that can only be accessed by the hosts. Hosts maintain the right to contact registered MVP Community Awards users regarding MVP Community Awards updates and to invite registered users to join the host communities.
