Walton Options is very fortunate to have a wonderful set of individuals who daily contribute to the services and projects that we offer our consumers. Our staff and volunteers are at the heart of what makes Walton Options tick. Which is why we want to introduce the team to you!

This month, we sat down with one of our Operations Team members, Steve, to find out a little more about not only his work at Walton Options but also some of his favorite things.

What is your role at Walton Options?
STAR and Maintenance.

How do you interact with consumers?
Through STAR program and Home Modification program.

What is your favorite aspect of working at Walton Options?
Helping people to get equipment they need to be more independent

If you could champion one aspect/focus/area of disability rights, what would it be and why?
Building codes, they are not as ADA compliant as they could be and really should be above ADA. There are so many things that are compliant but are not adequate for the needs of all people with disabilities.

Who inspires you and why?
My Dad was and is my biggest inspiration always telling me if you can’t do a job right don’t do it at all. I do my best to follow that and try to do more than is needed to make sure it done right.
