Are you ready? The first Dis’ Art Contest IS HERE!

Walton Options has partnered with Walton Foundation for Independence and sponsor The 523 Gallery to create a new community engagement project – Dis’ Art.

Designed as an art competition, the mission of Dis’ Art is to highlight the incredible artists within the disability community as well as artists who create art about the disability community.

The objective is simple. If you are an artist with a disability or you are an artist who creates art reflecting the disability community in some way, we want to see your art! We want to tell the story that art is not confined to being expressed by any particular person, and ability is not a qualification for creativity.

Does Dis’ Art sound interesting to you? Would you like to enter your artwork? We are looking for you! Your medium can vary to your preferred style. Artwork can range from painting, sculptures, drawing, photography, and mixed media. Artwork CANNOT include moving images (video), music, or written work (essays, poems). Artwork can be from your exisitng portfolio or a new piece – the choice is yours!

Submissions are done with high resolution images uploaded to an online form. The winning artist will be invited to participate in Walton Foundation’s upcoming spring 2021 Undercover Artists Show.
