As a Center for Independent Living, part of Walton Options mission is to connect persons with disabilities and the business community in effort to promote better understanding of each other’s wants and needs: Employers need reliable, honest and capable employees and our consumers with varying abilities need mentors to assist them in gaining knowledge about industries where they may find eventual employment.

The success of Walton Options 2009 project: Mentor Mondays, has provided for the employer, valuable insight into the benefits and rewards of working with capable qualified disabled job seekers. Therefore, it is with great excitement that Walton Options introduces “Project LEAD”!

Leadership Empowerment and Ability Development (aka, LEAD) is a project of Walton Options for Independent Living that seeks to address the wants and needs of local employers and organizations. Be the next leader in your community to help mentor the development of capable job seekers while simultaneously providing them an opportunity to learn more about the great work your company does.
